By their shear numbers, Baby Boomers have reshaped so many aspects of our society. And now, they are redefining what it is to be a senior as they become the largest retirement generation in U.S. History. Every ten seconds another Baby Boomer celebrates their 65th birthday. Presently, they make up 26% of our population.

They are more active, health conscious and tech savvy than those seniors before them. A stunning 96% of Baby Boomers participate in word of mouth or viral marketing by passing product or service information on to their friends.

As they approach retirement they are seeking to downsize, travel more, pay others to do projects they no longer can or wish to do and make other life changing decisions. They face a growing array of issues. From health, finances, job or career issues, change in family dynamics, future planning and more.

Among some of these real and personal issues is the topic of Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a degenerative disease with no present cure. Today, someone in the U.S. develops Alzheimer’s every 66 seconds. And, due to the aging of the Baby Boom generation, it is estimated that the number of those that will be living with this disease will increase by 40% in 10 years.

Who might these future individuals be that will be afflicted? It may be you or me in a few years. Or, it may be a personal family member. One thing is certain, few are unaware that this is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S., and will be unprepared to know where to turn for information, help and guidance when it is suddenly revealed that they, or a family member, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

Our non-profit organization developed “Moka Latte” to be the public face of our organization, and the means by which we could help raise awareness concerning this disease among this demographic group before it happens. We do it through the various dinner/dance events that we host. These special programs are fun, entertaining, elegant, uplifting and encouraging. Events that we produce are often specific to Baby Boomers, Seniors and those that are married or single in those two categories. We are passionate about encouraging, supporting and helping this growing segment of our society.

Those that partner with us help in continuing a platform that serves both the local community and in promoting Alzheimer’s awareness.

Presently, our sold out events are reserved seating with around 120-130 people in attendance. This captive audience works especially well for those companies that offer something of import to this group. Individual parties can be sponsors as well.
